A questão central que norteou a presente dissertação foi "Como estabelecer o diálogo entre a concepção, a produção e a fruição dos murais e painéis urbanos do artista plástico Claudio Tozzi, como parte da paisagem da cidade de São Paulo e a ideia de movimento que tais obras proporcionam pelo deslocamento dos observadores e transeuntes e não da imagem". O objetivo principal foi compreender os impactos que os murais e painéis desse artista causam na paisagem urbana da cidade, seus efeitos, reações e manifestações no cotidiano da população de São Paulo, devido à sensação de movimento que os mesmos sugerem. O objetivo secundário foi associar essa sensação de movimento sugerida às imagens registradas pelo cinema. O estudo, de natureza qualitativa e exploratória, foi pautado por pesquisas teóricas e documentais e pela entrevista com o próprio artista. Para tanto, foram analisadas cinco obras localizadas nas áreas públicas da cidade de São Paulo, a saber: os murais do Viaduto Tutóia/Avenida 23 de Maio, o da Avenida dos Bandeirantes/Aeroporto de Congonhas e o da Avenida dos Bandeirantes/Rodovia dos Imigrantes (que não existem mais) e os painéis das fachadas dos edifícios Exclusive e Luminus Jardins, os quais, por estarem localizadas a céu aberto, ou seja, em ambientes continuamente acessíveis pela população, distinguem-se das obras abrigadas em consagrados espaços fechados de exposição, tais como museus, galerias, teatros, auditórios, cinemas, bibliotecas ou em outras instituições de arte. As obras foram pesquisadas como produções artísticas contemporâneas. Constatou-se que tais obras urbanas e suas tramas narrativas denotam permanência como gênero e expressão artísticos, compreendendo-as como uma tendência da arte contemporânea.

The question that guide this dissertation was "How to establish the dialogue between the creation, the production and the fruition of urban panels and murals by the plastic artist Claudio Tozzi, as part of the urban landscape of São Paulo and the idea of movement that these works provide by the displacement of the observers and passersby and not of the image". The main objective was to understand the impacts that these murals and panels cause in the urban landscape of São Paulo, as its effects, reactions and manifestations in people's routine, due to the perception of the movement that they promote. The secondary objective was associate this suggested sense of movement to the recorded images by the movie. The study, of a qualitative and exploratory nature, was based on theoretical and documentary researches, as on interview with the artist himself. For that, five works were analyzed, which was located in the public areas of the city of São Paulo, namely: the murals of the Viaduto Tutóia/Avenida 23 de Maio, of the Avenida dos Bandeirantes/Aeroporto de Congonhas and of the Avenida dos Bandeirantes/Rodovia dos Imigrantes (that no longer exist) and the panels of the facades of the Exclusive and Luminus buildings, as they are located, in open environments, that means, in environments continuously accessible by the population, which are distinguished of the works in spaces reserved for the sky, such as museums, galleries, theaters, auditoriums, cinemas, libraries or in other art institutions. The works were researched as contemporary artistic productions. It was noted that these urban works and their narrative plots denote permanence as an artistic expression, understanding them as a trend in contemporary art.
