Abstract in English
The objective of this study was to evaluate the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs) of the 2030 Agenda proposed by the United Nations (UN) in the municipalities of Ribeirão Preto, Sertãozinho, Serrana, Jardinópolis, Cravinhos, Brodowski, Dumont and Guatapará. The focus was on the SDGs that permeate environmental issues and the selected themes refer to the SDGs: 6 "Clean Water and Sanitation"; 7 "Affordable and Clean Energy"; 11 "Sustainable Cities and Communities"; 12 "Responsible consumption and production"; 13 "Climate Action"; and 15 "Life on Land". Through the survey of municipal planning documents, news published on the websites of city halls and interviews with each environment secretary, it was possible to assess that the localities have actions, projects and programs that represent isolated goals related to the SDGs. However, an action plan that encompassed all the goals of certain SDGs was not found. In the ranking evaluated at the end of the survey, Ribeirão Preto was in the first place, followed by Sertãozinho in second place, Jardinópolis and Guatapará sharing the third place, Dumont and Serrana in fourth place, Cravinhos in fifth and finally Brodowsky, in sixty place.
