Keywords in Portuguese
Estudos comparados
História e ficção
Literaturas africanas
Romance contemporâneo
Tempo narrativo

Abstract in English
Through the comparative process, we analyze the temporal instances in the novels Hibisco Roxo (2009) by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Verre Cassé (2005) by Alain Mabanckou and Os Transparentes (2012) by Ondjaki, aiming to understand the internal temporal orders and their relationship with the concept of regimes of historicity by François Hartog (2012). Each work has a distinct formal organization, resulting in different ways of structuring the narrative time. Our work seeks, firstly, to highlight the similarities and emphasize the differences, in order to establish the regimes of historicity inherent to each novel. Contemporary fictional production helps to build a globalized society, under the aegis of late capitalism, as it is the result of it, and, according to Hartog, of presentism. Our gaze turns to these Western concepts to with the help of third-world theorists such as Fanon (2003) assess, secondly, to what extent these socio-temporal logics are actually represented and structured in the corpus
