Abstract in English
This works objective is to initiate an investigation on the interconnections woven between the sci-fi literary genre and modern Russian and Soviet thought. Through the analysis of its uses, tensions and shifts throughout the twentieth century, we aim to understand the ways in which the genre determined the meaning of the modern in different historical moments. As a point of departure, the Strugatsy Brothers oeuvre is used to trace the renewal and transformations of the concept os modernity in Soviet thought during the second half of the twentieth century.
