Abstract in English
This dissertation has identified and analyzed a series of poems from Carlos Drummond de Andrade that approach the father's figure, distributed among the books José (1942), A rosa do povo (1945) and Claro enigma (1951), studied in the sequence and order in which they were published. The research has its base on the investigation of the author's dialogues with his own memory and the frequent reconstitution of his own subjectivity in his poetry, identifying figures in which one can see echoes and intersections between life and work, between lived experiences and invented ones. The hypothesis presented is that this series of poems - produced and published at different moments and circumstances, but inside a temporal sequence - demonstrates that the subject/character father was between the author's most perennial reflections, transformed into poetic material during this period. The analyzed poems form a certain path followed by the poetic persona, indicating a growing intimacy with this character - presented here as a memorial object and at the same time an enigma that one seeks to decipher - and that establish a process of shocks, in which the approaches or mentions to this figure get deeper in each contact and in each investigation of the traces of the past. The analyses have demonstrated that, by the end of this period of the work, that means in Claro enigma, these poems reveal the constitution of a new situation or relationship with this paternal figure
