Abstract in English
The following work, divided into three movements, seeks to elucidate some of the many sides of the poetry by Alberto da Cunha Melo (1942 - 2007), a poet from Pernambuco, through esthetic and theoretical-criticism analysis developed, initially, from the foundation of Heraclitus' pre-philosophical thinking, followed by the romanticdiscussion over the tragic and the sublime, according to the theoretical perspective of Goethe, Hölderlin and Schiller, and Nietzsche, reaching, then, Frankfurt school's critical theory, specially concerning Horkheimer's writings. Initially, the author's social and historical origin is established, considering his participation as founding member of a cultural phenomenon, 65s Generation, and, above all, taking into account the theoretical discussion that includes a proposition of distinction in the definition from generations to movements. Afterwards, diving into the esthetic dimension of Albertos poetry, his literary project is limited as a unit called Cosmic circle, at the same time as its intended to develop a commentary on relevant aspects of the text, conforming to the critical fortune, with highlights to the use of enantiological procedures, that define a stylistics of dissonance, the aphoristic vocation of his verses and the critical reach of Melos poetry, that manifests its undeniable social origin. Last, the third movement intends to expand the understanding of the lyrical-tragic cosmovision, that structures the authors poetry, through careful analysis and interpretation of the last book in his project, the long narrative poem Yacala (1999), a discussion based on the modern theory of the tragic
