Abstract in English
The teleological conceptions of history are settled on the ideas of a universal subject and they palm the contradictions, tensions and antagonism off which constitute the modern societies. Standing critically against these conceptions, a range of contemporary Latin American narratives has made the existence of the Other visible and confronts the signifiers that historically have participated in its erasure, such as the masculine, the whiteness and the nation. Aiming to elucidate how this textual materiality is repositioning the formalization of feminine, black and indigenous alterity, emptied by cultural industry, the main purpose of this study is to recall the procedures which they rely on to elaborate the otherness as opposed to the mainstream appeals of fetishizing the difference. The corpus of this research covers the works Leite derramado (Chico Buarque), Boca de lobo (Sergio Chejfec), Becos da memória (Conceição Evaristo), Desde que o samba é samba (Paulo Lins), Por la patria e Impuesto a la carne (Diamela Eltit). The critical approach, fundamentally underpinned by traditional thinking which contests the epistemological Eurocentrism, indicated that this poetry restructures the conventions of the representation by tensioning the literary writing policies and promoting the weakening of the hegemonic discourses and the unambiguous sociocultural settings. This set of narratives mobilizes, through specific paths, fictional strategies that relocate the circulating social consensus about otherness and claim the humanity of the Other as a force capable of new arrangements of artistic composition.
