Keywords in Portuguese
Cassandra
Ésquilo
Eurípides
Poesia grega
Tragédia grega

Abstract in English
Cassandra is present in ancient Greece from the first poems of the archaic period (c. 800-480 BC) to Hellenistic literature (323-31 BC), and plays a fundamental role in the works of Aeschylus and Euripides - mainly in the Agamemnon and in Trojan women, respectively. In these dramas, Cassandra, portrayed as a virgin at the wedding and as a prophetess in a state of ecstasy, is a character that brings with her the ability to unveil what is hidden behind the lines. The goal of this study is to analyze her performance in the works of both authors, briefly passing by other poets and poetic genres, in order to understand the importance and uniqueness of her role in each piece and trace the main attributes in the construction of her figure.
