Abstract in English
This essay proposes a systematic interpretation of Shaftesbury's philosophy. Starting with the analysis of the conditions within which one can say that Shaftesbury's thought is systematic it proceeds to examine the articulation between the notions of immanence and finality in Shaftesbury's concept of nature as organic totality. This inquiry enables us to comprehend the role of the concept of art as nature redoubled so as to show the central position of the concept of beautiful in Shaftesbury's reflection.
