O objetivo da pesquisa é analisar o desenvolvimento da consciência política a partir da arte teatral. O aporte teórico-metodológico que fundamenta a pesquisa é o enfoque histórico-cultural, que considera que o homem se desenvolve a partir da apropriação da cultura elaborada historicamente e que o desenvolvimento das funções psíquicas superiores depende da qualidade das mediações na realidade concreta. Com inspiração na pesquisa-ação, a partir de oficinas teatrais, os dados foram produzidos em uma ONG dirigida por freiras, de uma região de vulnerabilidade social na cidade de Mogi das Cruzes, SP Brasil. As oficinas ocorreram uma vez por semana com duração inicial de uma hora e, posteriormente, duas horas durante os meses de setembro a dezembro de 2018. Participaram 16 crianças, entre 9 e 15 anos, e esta professora-pesquisadora. A proposta das oficinas de teatro contemplou dinâmicas, jogos e a dramatização de Romeu e Julieta e Macbeth , de William Shakespeare , considerando-se a necessidade de contemplar as técnicas do fazer teatral e a aproximação junto à literatura clássica, pertinentes à formação da consciência política no campo artístico. As categorias de análise dos dados são: a) relações de exploração e dominação diante da diversidade social; b) as relações políticas e econômicas na organização da sociedade. A partir dessas categorias, utilizamos os registros de vídeo, foto e áudio dos participantes na busca de compreender a gênese do desenvolvimento a partir da análise do sistema semântico. Como resultado da investigação, consideramos que a arte teatral tem a possibilidade de influir sobre a consciência política, a depender da qualidade da mediação dos produtos advindos da arte. A finalidade da pesquisa é ressaltar a importância da mediação da arte como expressão inerente ao gênero humano, destacando a vivência da arte teatral em projetos culturais em contextos educativos.

The objective of this research is to analyze the development of political consciousness through theatrical art. The Cultural-Historical Theory of Development is the theorical and methodological approach that supports the research, which considers that man develops from the appropriation of historically produced culture and that the development of higher psychic functions depends on the quality of mediations in concrete reality. Inspired by action research, the data were produced in an NGO run by nuns, in a socially vulnerable region in the city of Mogi das Cruzes, SP Brazil. The workshops took place once a week with an initial duration of one hour and then two hours during the months of September to December 2018. Sixteen children, between 9 and 15 years old, and this teacher-researcher participated. The proposal of the theater workshops contemplated dynamics, games, and the dramatization of Romeo and Juliet and Macbeth , by William Shakespeare , considering the need to contemplate the techniques of theatrical making and the approximation with classical literature, pertinent to the formation of political consciousness in the artistic field. The data analysis categories are: a) relations of exploitation and domination in the face of social diversity; b) political and economic relations in the organization of society. From these categories, we used the video, photo, and audio records of the participants in the search to understand the genesis of the development using semantic system analysis. As a result of the research, we consider that theater art has the possibility to influence political consciousness, depending on the quality of the mediation of the products coming from art. The purpose of the research is to highlight the importance of the mediation of art as an expression inherent to the human race, highlighting the experience of theatrical art in cultural projects in educational contexts.
