Este trabalho teve como objetivo investigar evidências de validade com medidas externas do Teste de Completamento de Desenhos de Wartegg na avaliação da depressão, sob a ótica do Sistema Crisi de Interpretação do instrumento. Três variáveis do teste foram destacadas como possíveis indicadores de depressão: Qualidade Afetiva, Qualidade Formal e Caráter Evocativo. O trabalho avaliou a capacidade discriminativa dessas variáveis na avaliação de 45 participantes com depressão e 45 do grupo controle, sem depressão. Também investigou a relação das medidas do Wartegg com o Inventário de Depressão de Beck (BDI-II), escala padrão-ouro na avaliação da depressão. Os resultados apontaram que, entre as variáveis propostas como indicadores de depressão, a Qualidade Afetiva apresentou diferença significativa e com tamanho de efeito moderado entre os grupos (p < 0,001; 2 = 0,25). Na variável Qualidade Formal, observou-se diferença significativa, porém com tamanho de efeito praticamente nulo (p < 0,05; 2 = 0,036). Em relação à variável Caráter Evocativo, os grupos não se diferenciaram (p > 0,05; 2 = 0,001). Concluiu-se que o Sistema Crisi de interpretação do Wartegg permitiu identificar indivíduos depressivos por meio da variável Qualidade Afetiva, entretanto, por ser o primeiro estudo voltado para a aferição de evidências de validade para esse sistema no cenário nacional, sugere-se a realização de novas pesquisas para a confirmação dos resultados obtidos.

This work aimed to investigate evidence of validity with external measures of the Wartegg Drawing Completion Test in the assessment of depression, from the perspective of the Crisi Interpretation System of the instrument. Three variables of the test were highlighted as possible indicators of depression: Affective Quality, Formal Quality and Evocative Character. The study evaluated the discriminative capacity of these variables in the assessment of 45 participants with depression and 45 in the control group, without depression. It also investigated the relationship between the Wartegg measures and the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI-II), a gold standard scale for the assessment of depression. The results showed that, among the variables proposed as indicators of depression, Affective Quality presented a significant difference and with a moderate effect size between the groups (p < 0,001; 2 = 0,25). In the Formal Quality variable, a significant difference was observed, but with practically null effect size (p < 0,05; 2 = 0,036). Regarding the variable Evocative Character, the groups did not differ (p > 0,05; 2 = 0,001). It was concluded that the Crisi System of Wartegg interpretation allowed the identification of depressive individuals through the variable Affective Quality, however, as it is the first study aimed at measuring validity evidence for this system in the national scenario, it is suggested that further research be carried out to confirm the results obtained.
