Abstract in English
In this work we have studied stochastic resonance in its general form and applied it to second harmonic generation. We used the formalism of the Langevin and the Fokker-Planck equations to describe a system subject to a double well potential and an external periodic force. Through analytical methods and numerical simulations of the Langevin equation we have determined the signal to noise ratio that characterizes stochastic resonance. We have also studied the stochastic resonance in second harmonic generation finding the conditions for its occurrence.
