Title in Portuguese
Integração Machine to Machine no contexto da Indústria 4.0.
Keywords in Portuguese
Arquitetura orientada a serviços
Indústria 4.0

Machine to machine

Abstract in English
It is expected that changes in the means of production will bring a better quality of life for human beings. The first, second and third industrial revolutions changed the working relationship, life expectancy and communication between people. Currently, a new revolution in the means of production evidenced in artificial intelligence and the complete digitization of manufacturing is taking place. This new revolution has as its central objective to customize the final product at the customers discretion. To reach this level of customization, communication between machines, or Machine to Machine, will be necessary for the industry to have the autonomy to add services, functionality and manufacture products without direct human interaction. Industry 4.0 needs to incorporate the features and characteristics of Machine to Machine interaction in its own architecture, such as RAMI 4.0 (Reference Architectural Model for Industry 4.0), which is still abstract and does not specify how the interaction between machines is performed. The operation and characteristics of this interaction can be obtained from architectures for Machine to Machine consolidated in the literature, such as the ETSI (European Telecommunication Standard Institute) architecture. By extracting features and functionalities from the architecture consolidated in the literature for Machine to Machine, it is possible to map what is needed in the context of Industry 4.0 within RAMI 4.0, and from that, create models that demonstrate how the Machine to Machine interaction occurs according to the important scenarios for Industry 4.0, which include the interaction between machines within the same company and between different companies, so that it is possible to verify and validate the models developed.
