Abstract in English
This research focuses on the study of the complementarity in a hybrid plant with marine renewable energy (MRE) and variable sources solar and wind. For this, it begins by describing the resources in a transdisciplinary way and highlighting their temporal variability in different time scales. Then, a model is presented to optimize the relative share of each resource, whose objective is to be simple and flexible to be understood and applied by all professionals involved in the area. All steps are exemplified with results from numerical models and/or data collected in the field from the southeastern Brazilian continental shelf, with a focus on the State of Sao Paulo and the region of Sao Sebastiao. Finally, the complexity of the scenario is discussed horizontally and it is pointed out how generation in the oceans can contribute in a context of energy transition.
