Neste trabalho são estudadas as potencialidades de aplicação do programa BOSOR5 na análise de diferentes tipos de estruturas em forma de cascas de revolução. O programa BOSOR5 executa o cálculo de tensões, deslocamentos e cargas críticas, sobcarregamento axissimétrico, dentro do regime não-linear geométrico e físico. Nesse aspecto são apresentados os fundamentos teóricos e estratégias de análise utilizadas pelo programa, baseado no método das diferenças finitas. Como exemplo para verificação das potencialidades do programa, são utilizadas estruturas típicas de submersíveis, considerando as regiões de descontinuidade geométrica, apesar das conclusões serem gerais e aplicáveis a outras cascas de revolução. São comparadosos resultados obtidos com os de outros programas, seja de elementos finitos, seja baseados em formulações teóricas, podendo-se inferir dos resultados a utilidade do BOSOR5 como ferramenta de análise estrutural dentro do regime não-linear, pela simplicidade de sua utilização e precisão de cálculo.

In this work the potentialities of application of the program BOSORS in the analysis of several kinds of structures in shape of revolutions shells, are studied. The program BOSORS carries out the calculation of tensions, deformations and critical loads, under axisymmetric external loads, within the nonlinear geometric and physic hebavior. In this aspect the theoretical foundation and strategies of analysis utilized by the program are introduced, based on the method of the finite differences. As example to the verification of the potentialities of the program, typical structures of submarines are utilized, considering the regions of geometric discontinuities. The conclusions are generals and applicable to other revolutions shells. Comparisons of the results obtained with other programs of finite elements or based in theoretical formulations are made, could be inferred the utility of the BOSOR5 like tool of structural calculation with nonlinear behavior by the simplicity of its utilization and precision of results.
