Title in Portuguese
Previsão do comportamento do navio em mar realístico.
Keywords in Portuguese
Comportamento de embarcações no mar

Abstract in English
This study presents, besides the mathematical model, a computational program which calculates some statistical means related to the seakeeping performance of a ship in a irregular seaway. A directional energy sea spectrum is employed and the ship is also supposed to be a six degrees of freedom system. All he ship motions: surge, sway, heave, roll, pitch and yaw are studied. It is also studied the ship motion relative to the free surface of the sea, vertical and horizontal loads, slamming and deck wetness.
