Abstract in English
This dissertation treats about the Finite Element Method applied into Plate Tectonics, through an elastic, linear and three dimensional analysis, for displacements and second order stresses evaluation in the South American Plate, resulting from flexure caused by topographic loads, exercised by the Andean Cordillera, that promoted several tectonic processes, like the rise of the Pantanal wetland.
