Keywords in Portuguese
Máquinas de levantamento e transporte

Dynamic efforts due to driving system in cranes.
Keywords in English
Lifting and transport machines
Abstract in English
In this work the development of models and procedures enabling the determination of dynamics efforts resulting from driving systems in cranes is being presented. In particular, the horizontal travelling motion is discussed. A model with three masses, connected by elastic elements is proposed to represent the mechanical system. The answers obtained from this model are then compared with those from a more complete model, simulated by finite elemento method, with satisfactory results. Based on this model, an objective formulation of the project engineering point of view is made, aiming at the determination of dynamics efforts for two driving system usually applied in cranes. A starting system without feedback and a loop controlled are analysed. At the end of this work, all results are discussed comparing the levels of strain for the two analysed system, as well as with those obtained according to criteria proposed by international standards covering this subject.
