A proposta deste trabalho é a análise do longa-metragem Garotas do ABC Aurélia Schwarzenêga (2002), de Carlos Reichenbach. Este filme é um dos frutos do projeto ABC Clube Democrático, que previa uma série de seis longas sobre a vida de operárias têxteis da região do ABC paulista. Da ideia inicial de Carlão, foram feitos dois filmes, que dialogam com sua filmografia anterior pela temática da mulher proletária. Garotas do ABC foi o filme mais caro realizado pelo diretor, financiado com leis de incentivo estatais, e sofreu grandes alterações ao longo do processo. O projeto busca traçar uma arqueologia da dramaturgia do filme e, valendo-se do roteiro Aurélia Schwarzenêga, publicado em 2008, fazer uma análise que compare roteiro e filme de modo a desvendar aspectos do estilo de Reichenbach. A intenção é extrapolar a análise referencial que muito se tem feito sobre a obra de Carlão e oferecer ao leitor um exercício crítico de investigação estilística, combinando a observação da imanência do filme com pesquisa de informações históricas pontuais.

The purpose of this work is to analyse Carlos Reichenbachs feature film Garotas do ABC - Aurélia Schwarzenega (2002). The film is one of the products of the ABC Clube Democrático project, which foresaw a series of six features about the life of textile workers in the ABC region of São Paulo. From Carlão's initial idea, two films were actually made, which dialogue with his previous filmography by the theme of the proletarian woman. Garotas do ABC was the most expensive film made by the director, financed by Brazilian federal incentive laws, and it underwent major changes in the process. The project seeks to trace an archeology of the film's dramaturgy and, using the script Aurélia Schwarzenêga, published in 2008, make an analysis that compares script and film so as to reveal aspects of Reichenbach's style. The intention is to extrapolate the referential analysis that much has been done about Carlão's work and offer the reader a critical exercise in stylistic investigation, combining the observation of the film's immanence with a search for specific historical information.
