Abstract in Portuguese
Buscamos aprofundar a noção do sensível a partir do filósofo e antropólogo François Laplantine e relacioná-la à tendência do realismo sensório no cinema contemporâneo.

Abstract in English
This dissertation consists of a reflection on the possibility of a cinema built from the sensible, that is, in the body and the senses. We seek to deepen the notion of the sensible from the philosopher and anthropologist François Laplantine and relate it to the trend of sensory realism in contemporary cinema. Assuming that this tendency is revealed mainly by a prolonged inspection of physical reality, we propose a study of the films Juventude em marcha (2006), by Portuguese director Pedro Costa, and Luz silenciosa (2007), by Mexican Carlos Reygadas, based on two axes: the work with time and the work with materiality. Based on these axes, we seek to understand how these films participate in a resumption, within contemporary world cinema, of a realistic trend that rescues sensoriality, producing works that are both aesthetic and political.
