Esta tese é um conjunto de ensaios sobre a produção cinematográfica brasileira contemporânea de ficção a partir da ideia de imagem partida. Após 2012, os filmes brasileiros passam a refletir questões importantes das desigualdades históricas da sociedade com formas expressivas que deixam expostas certas fraturas que antes apareciam amenizadas, especialmente na produção da década anterior. Assim, conflitos entre as classes sociais, tensões no espaço urbano, desigualdades raciais e de gênero ganham destaque central na produção, com representações que visam expor as faíscas da sociedade brasileira. Para descrever essas formas, serão colocadas em confronto um conjunto de filmes que movimentaram o debate, seja na esfera dos festivais ou quando de seu lançamento em circuito comercial, de diferentes setores da produção cinematográfica brasileira. Por essa comparação, organizada em eixos temáticos, o trabalho pretende mostrar a experiência social contemporânea e o processo histórico de rupturas, conflitos e debates inflamados do Brasil neste século foi abordada pelo cinema e incorporada enquanto forma.

This thesis is a set of essays on contemporary Brazilian cinematographic production of fiction based on the idea of fractured image. After 2012, Brazilian films began to reflect important issues of the historical inequalities of society with expressive forms that expose certain fractures that previously appeared to be softened, especially in the production of the previous decade. Thus, conflicts between social classes, tensions in the urban space, racial and gender inequalities gain central prominence in the production, with representations that aim to expose the sparks of Brazilian society. In order to describe these forms, a set of films that moved the debate will be confronted, whether in the sphere of festivals or when they are released on the commercial circuit, from different sectors of Brazilian cinematographic production. Through this comparison, organized into thematic axes, the work intends to show the contemporary social experience and the historical process of ruptures, conflicts and heated debates in Brazil in this century was approached by cinema and incorporated as form.
