Este trabalho é um relato a partir da experiência pessoal do pesquisador na roteirização e direção do longa-metragem de ficção Paraí, realizado junto ao povo Guarani Mbya, na Terra Indígena Jaraguá, em São Paulo. A dissertação se divide em três elementos que compõem o discurso fílmico: o enredo, a encenação e a narração, apresentando-os a partir de Aristóteles e teóricos do cinema moderno, como André Bazin e Ismail Xavier. Discute-se, primeiramente, a complexidade do processo de transposição de conteúdos da vivência e pensamento Guarani para um roteiro de cinema. Depois, são apresentados pensamentos sobre atores amadores a partir dos quais é feita a reflexão sobre o trabalho de atuação com a comunidade indígena. A pesquisa ressalta a dicotomia do processo entre a busca por uma estética realista e a criação audiovisual a partir de um ponto de vista do nhandereko, o modo de vida Mbya, e da luta política pela demarcação das terras Guarani. Comenta-se também as especificidades da região do Jaraguá, suas interfaces com o contexto urbano e a relação entre o pesquisador-autor e o grupo da comunidade com o qual escreveu e produziu o filme.

This work is a report based on the researcher's personal experience in scripting and directing the feature film Para'í, made with the Guarani Mbya people, in the Jaraguá Indigenous Land, in São Paulo. The dissertation is divided into three elements that make up the filmic discourse: the plot, the staging and the narration, presenting them from Aristotle and theorists of modern cinema, such as André Bazin and Ismail Xavier. It discusses, first, the complexity of the process of transposing contents of Guarani experience and thought into a film script. Afterwards, thoughts on amateur actors are presented, from which a reflection is made on the work of acting with the indigenous community. The research highlights the dichotomy of the process between the search for a realistic aesthetic and audiovisual creation from a point of view of nhandereko, the Mbya way of life, and the political struggle for the demarcation of Guarani lands. It also comments on the specificities of the Jaraguá region, its interfaces with the urban context and the relationship between the author-researcher and the community group with which he wrote and produced the film.
