A pesquisa investiga dentro do universo de lugares de memória e reconciliação da América Latina, as instituições em novas edificações onde não existam evidencias materiais dos fatos ocorridos e os espaços possam estar estruturados a partir da memória imaterial, suas relações com a sociedade, seu contexto urbano e cultural. Os museus são analisados baseados na experiência no espaço construído a partir de viagens de estudo às cidades de Buenos Aires (Argentina), Santiago (Chile), Lima (Peru), Bogotá e Medelín (Colômbia) e Cidade do México (México). Apesar dos espaços apresentarem suas particularidades e especificidades, na maioria das vezes seguem um processo semelhante de elaboração, partiram do resultado das comissões da verdade, o princípio da reparação às vítimas, discussão de temas relacionados à violência, Direitos Humanos, democracia, cultura da paz e a ideia de que os fatos excepcionais de extrema violência ocorridos não se repitam O objeto de estudo principal de análise é o Lugar de la Memória, la Tolerância y la Inclusión Social em Lima, Peru, projeto do escritório Barclay & Crousse, escolhido a partir de concurso realizado em 2010, inaugurado em 2015.

The research investigates within the universe of places of memory and reconciliation in Latin America, the institutions in new buildings where there is no material evidence of the events that occurred and the spaces may be structured from the intangible memory, its relations with society, its urban and cultural context. The museums are analyzed based on the experience in the space built from study trips to the cities of Buenos Aires (Argentina), Santiago (Chile), Lima (Peru), Bogota and Medellin (Colombia) and Mexico City (Mexico). Although the spaces have their own particularities and specificities, most of the time they follow a similar elaboration process, starting from the results of the truth commissions, the principle of reparation to the victims, discussion of issues related to violence, human rights, democracy, culture of peace, and the idea that the exceptional facts of extreme violence that occurred are not repeated. The main object of study of analysis is the Lugar de la Memoria, la Tolerancia y la Inclusión Social in Lima, Peru, a project by the firm Barclay & Crousse, chosen from a competition held in 2010, inaugurated in 2015.
