Abstract in English
In the last decades of the 20th century, urbanization grew at an accelerated rate around the world. While in the mid-1970s, most people lived in rural areas, in 2019, it is estimated that 54% of the world's population is urban. Thus, cities became the main natural habitat of man, who, in turn, is increasingly used to an environment built with more asphalt and less nature. With the development of cities, there is a growing concern about human well-being in urban areas. In this context, this research discusses the importance and impact of green spaces connected to the urban green and blue infrastructure network in order to stimulate environmental services to improve people's well-being. Finally, some recommendations are made to the planning of the Planície da Calha do Rio Pinheiros given the observed local urban potential in order to improve human well-being in the area.
