Descrição das transformações do Vale de Anhangabaú, lugar importante da formação da cidade de São Paulo, até 1992. A área de estudo está definida entre as Praças da Bandeira e Pedro Lessa e as Ruas Líbero Badaró e Formosa, mais o eixo Praça do Patriarca-Praça Ramos de Azevedo. O trabalho insere-se no conjunto de estudos de história urbana que relacionam a transformação do espaço às transformações econômicas e políticas. No plano empírico, 80 imagens constroem e reforçam a descrição.

The description of the changes made in Vale do Anhangabaú, an importante site in the development of São Paulo, until 1992. The study area is restricted within Praça da Bandeira and Praça Pedro Lessa, and Rua Líbero Badaró and Rua Formosa, including the axis Praça do Patriarca-Praça Ramos de Azevedo. This dissertation is part of the urban history research relating the space transformation to the economic and political transformations. At the empirical level, 80 images build and reinforce the description.
