O presente estudo analisou a produção do espaço e territorialidades na praia do Perequê Açú, no município de Ubatuba, litoral norte do estado de São Paulo, tendo como objetivo discutir as transformações socioespaciais e econômicas sofridas pelo grupo tradicional caiçara-pescador. Optou-se por um método de abordagem etnográfica, de pesquisa qualitativa e exploratória, com aplicação de entrevista dirigida com as principais lideranças do passado e do presente envolvidas na transformação da localidade de Pereque-Açú (5 de 10 caiçaras moradores do local), bem como turistas (90 entrevistados) nos meses de janeiro e julho de 2019 e janeiro de 2020. Os resultados indicaram que a região possui atratividade turística bem como o fenômeno de especulação imobiliária, incluindo-se o fenômeno de segunda residência não ocorreu de forma negativa para o grupo caiçara, mas não de forma tão intensa como em outras localidades com alta verticalização das construções. As entrevistas com o grupo caiçara revelaram que no contexto de manutenção de sua cultura, houve impactos como o deslocamento do Rancho de Pesca para uma zona periférica da praia, porém, compreendem a importância do Turismo e do Turista para a manutenção e preservação do seu modo de vida, sendo necessária maior atuação do poder público para este fim, conforme coletado nas entrevistas. Torna-se necessário que ocorra um Planejamento de Turismo de Base Comunitária que envolva o poder público local para que ocorra a manutenção e preservação da cultura caiçara como patrimônio imaterial bem como para a sobrevivência da identidade local.

This study analyzed the production of space and territorialities at Perequê Açú beach, in the municipality of Ubatuba, on the northern coast of the state of São Paulo, with the objective of discussing the socio-spatial and economic transformations suffered by the traditional caiçara-fisherman group. We opted for a method of ethnographic approach, of qualitative and exploratory research, with the application of an interview directed with the main leaders of the past and present involved in the transformation of the locality of Pereque-Açú (5 of 10 caiçaras residents of the place), as well as tourists (90 respondents) in the months of January and July 2019 and January 2020. The results indicated that the region has tourist attractiveness as well as the phenomenon of real estate speculation, including the phenomenon of second residence did not occur in a negative way for the caiçara group, but not as intensely as in other locations with high verticalization of buildings. The interviews with the caiçara group revealed that in the context of maintaining their culture, there were impacts such as the displacement of the Fishermen's Ranch to a peripheral area of the beach, however, they understand the importance of Tourism and the Tourist for the maintenance and preservation of their way of life, requiring greater action by the government for this purpose, as collected in the interviews.It is necessary that there is a Community Based Tourism Planning that involves the local public authorities so that the maintenance and preservation of the caiçara culture as an intangible heritage occurs as well as for the survival of the local identity.
