Abstract in English
The purpose of this research was to investigate the e-learning implementation process in the Geoprocessing subject and also to evaluate engineering students' perceptions about this process at the Polytechnic School of São Paulo University, an initiative of the Geoprocessing Laboratory (LABGEO) of that school. Furthermore, the research tried to associate the e-learning to the face to face classes, as an alternative to qualify student learning process. The evaluation of this teaching approach (face to face supported by on line resources) included questionnaires applied to students in 2003, 2004 and 2005. Results made possible to infer that the pedagogical use of the technology favors and motivates studding and learning; supports the evaluation process and cases the delivery of didactic materials. In the end of this research, the online activities associated with traditional face to face classes showed that is necessary to modify the teaching and learning process linked to the technological resources, due to the professional and social demands of the world today.
