Esta pesquisa analisou a cooperação Universidade – Empresa sob a ótica dos líderes dos grupos de pesquisa da USP, cadastrados no Diretório de Pesquisas do CNPq, por meio de uma pesquisa quantitativa, com abordagem descritiva utilizando o método de levantamento. O universo do estudo é formado por 1700 grupos de pesquisa da USP, e a amostragem foi não probabilística de voluntários, constituída por 294 respondentes. Deste total 40% desenvolveram projetos formais de cooperação com empresas públicas e privadas. Os dados foram analisados utilizando-se estatística descritiva, com teste de diferença de média e X2 , e análise fatorial. As conclusões do estudo abrangem quatro temas principais: a) o perfil dos Grupos de Pesquisa e dos seus respectivos líderes; b) a avaliação dos líderes dos grupos de pesquisa da USP, cadastrados no diretório CNPq, a respeito da cooperação empresa-universidade; c) a opinião do líder dos grupos de pesquisa da USP a respeito da decisão de cooperação empresa universidade e, d) uma visão sobre o novo contexto para a cooperação empresa-universidade.

This research analyzes the cooperation University - Enterprise from the perspective of USP research groups leaders registered in the CNPq Research Directory, through a quantitative survey with descriptive approach using a survey method. The universe of the study consists of 1700 research groups at USP, and the sampling was not probabilistic volunteers, consisting of 294 respondents. Of this total 40% developed formal cooperation projects with public and private companies. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, to test mean differences and X2, and factor analysis. The findings cover four main themes: a) the profile of Research Groups and their respective leaders, b) evaluation of the leaders of research groups from USP, registered in the CNPq Directory about the company-university cooperation; c ) the opinion of the USP research groups leaders regarding the decision of the university-enterprise cooperation, and d) an insight into the new context for business-university cooperation.
