Abstract in English
The texts contained herein synthesize the research and reflections that, over the course of an academic career spanning more than ten years as a professor at the University of São Paulo, have forged an urban geography-based approach toward the subjects of memory and cultural heritage. They are not intended to state a thesis, although they do gravitate around a central idea: that of unequal heritage. In this sense, they are organized to make the evidence explicit, to help understand the reasons and rationale, and to problematize the consequences of this inequality.
