Abstract in English
The articles compiled here were published between 2010 and 2020, in different scientific journals and academic books, with the exception of chapter 5. Chapters 1 to 3, as well as the translated texts of Annex 1 and Annex 2, are the unfoldings of a research on English political thought of the seventeenth century. Chapters 4 and 5, dedicated to Machiavelli, result from a study begun in 2016, whose more general object is political passions and the distinct ways in which they are approached by modern political theory. Chapter 6 consists of an intervention text and seeks to address a theme of the present. In common between these distinct themes there are two central concerns: (1) to examine the tensions created by contingency in the writings of different political theorists, which allows us to see them in action; (2) to investigate the passionate dimension of politics, the mimetic arts as producers of political fictions and the recourse to the spectacularization of violence.
