Spatial productive circuit
Abstract in English
In this thesis, we propose an analytical procedure of the medical-industry complex (Gadelha, 2003) as a result of productive spatial circuits and their corresponding cooperation circles in space (Santos, 1988a). Essentially, we discuss the global reach of industrial production in certain productive branches aimed at the hospital-medical supplies and equipment manufacturer. We seek to support the thesis that, in order to carry out such a territorial division of labor in industrial production, it is essential to articulate events (homologous, complementary and hierarchical) between different socio-spatial formations (Santos, 1977). It enables a synchrony between places and regions to use simultaneity as a competitive differential.
