Abstract in English
The thesis I present here invites a reflective thought of philosophical nature regarding bodily practices as health and care practices in the context of Brazilian health promotion. If, in one hand, health practices have been questioned and worked out in the face of the crisis in the biomedical model, as part of the modernity crisis; on the other hand, bodily practices have gained visibility as powerful modes for intervening in the health-illness process be it in the realm of policies, be it in the realm of formation and research in health. And this coming into view thus requires necessarily a discussion that goes beyond the technical dimension. Espinosa, Foucault and Atlan have guided me in this path and the readings and experiences in the field of health have defined territories that brought the thinking down to earth. From this challenge I conclude the time is ripe for opening a discussion still limited within the boundaries of some disciplines as a means of contributing for the theme widening its frontiers of interlocution and articulation in the field of health.
