Partindo do princípio que a universidade tem como missão essencial retornar à sociedade o saber que dela se origina, temas por vezes oriundos da sociedade ou por vezes do meio acadêmico, refletem no tripé ensino, pesquisa e extensão da Universidade, impulsionando assim, novas reflexões e ações. O presente trabalho aborda, por meio de um estudo de caso realizado em uma Universidade Pública Brasileira, as etapas pelas quais a cultura do empreendedorismo vem sendo disseminada e, as atividades em prol do empreender no tripé ensino, pesquisa e extensão, que veem sendo realizadas. O estudo de caso selecionado analisa um programa de disseminação da cultura e ações em prol do empreendedorismo em um dos campi da Universidade de São Paulo, denominado Programa Empreendedorismo-Escola (E-E). Baseado em estudo exploratório, a tese discorre sobre as etapas (ou caminhos trilhados), os atores envolvidos, as práticas implementadas e os resultados obtidos, dando subsídios para uma análise e reflexão teórica e prática sobre o papel e as formas de como uma universidade, frente às suas limitações e oportunidades, pode ensinar, investigar e executar o empreendedorismo em seu ambiente. Tendo como base o arcabouço teórico e o estudo de caso em questão, a pesquisa traz como colaboração a proposição de uma metodologia baseada em um processo de empreender estruturado para o ambiente universitário capaz de contribuir com reflexões e análises para diversos atores que buscam ter conexão com a universidade ou mesmo para universidades que buscam estruturar atividades voltadas para a disseminação e formalização do empreendedorismo. Tem-se, portanto, que a elucidação do processo de empreender no âmbito de uma universidade, com a análise dos possíveis caminhos trilhados e das práticas potencialmente adotadas, cooperam para a demonstração de que a junção de atores-chave, caminhos alternativos e a implementação de diversas práticas paralelas descritos através de atores, momentos e sementes necessárias para germinar são capazes de desenhar o ecossistema universitário empreendedor e assim trazer impactos econômico e sociais para a universidade e para a sociedade.

Based on the principle that the university's essential mission is to return to society the knowledge that originates from it, themes that sometimes come from society or sometimes from the academic environment, reflect on the tripod of teaching, research and extension of the University, thus stimulating new reflections and actions. This work addresses, through a case study carried out at a Brazilian Public University, the steps by which the culture of entrepreneurship has been disseminated and the activities in favor of entrepreneurship on the tripod, teaching, research and extension, which are being carried . The selected case study analyzes a program for the dissemination of culture and actions in favor of entrepreneurship on one of the campuses of the University of São Paulo, called the Entrepreneurship-School Program (E-E). Based on an exploratory study, the thesis discusses the steps (or paths taken), the actors involved, the practices implemented and the results obtained, providing subsidies for an analysis and theoretical and practical reflection on the role and ways of how a university, in the face of its limitations and opportunities, it can teach, investigate and execute entrepreneurship in its environment. Based on the theoretical framework and the case study in question, the research brings in collaboration the proposition of a methodology based on a structured entrepreneurship process for the university environment capable of contributing with reflections and analyzes for various actors who seek to have connection with the university or even for universities that seek to structure activities aimed at the dissemination and formalization of entrepreneurship. It is necessary, therefore, that the elucidation of the process of undertaking within a university, with the analysis of the possible paths and the practices potentially adopted, cooperate to demonstrate that the combination of key actors, alternative paths and the implementation of several parallel practices described through actors, moments and seeds necessary to germinate are able to design the entrepreneurial university ecosystem and thus bring economic and social impacts to the university and to society.
