A cardiopatia isquêmica continua sendo uma causa significativa de morte e incapacidade em todo o mundo, sendo a doença arterial coronária a principal causa de disfunção sistólica do ventrículo esquerdo. A revascularização coronária pode melhorar a função do ventrículo esquerdo, os sintomas de insuficiência cardíaca e os desfechos cardiovasculares em pacientes de alto risco. Uma das formas de avaliar se o miocárdio pode se recuperar, ou seja, se é viável, são os exames de imagem não invasivos. Contudo, até o momento, nenhum estudo demonstrou benefício da avaliação de viabilidade no cenário de revascularização. O Estudo observacional, retrospectivo avaliou 126 pacientes submetidos a cintilografia miocárdica com 201Tálio entre os anos de 2010 e 2014, os pacientes foram divididos em dois grupos com e sem viabilidade miocardica. Esses dois grupos foram divididos em outros dois conforme a estratégia terapêutica adoada, revascularização ou tratamento medicamentoso. O estudo nao apontou diferença com relação a morte, infarto, AVC. Apenas a covariável incidência de internação apresentou resultados estatisticamente significantes.

Ischemic heart disease continues to be a significant cause of death and disability worldwide, with coronary artery disease being the leading cause of left ventricular systolic dysfunction. Coronary revascularization may improve left ventricular function, symptoms of heart failure, and cardiovascular outcomes in high-risk patients. One of the ways to assess whether the myocardium can recover, that is, if it is feasible, is noninvasive imaging. However, to date, no study has demonstrated the benefit of the feasibility assessment in the revascularization scenario. The observational, retrospective study evaluated 126 patients on a myocardial scintigraphy with 201-Thallium between the years 2010 and 2014, the patients were divided into two groups with and without myocardial viability. These two groups were divided into the adopted therapeutic strategy, according to revascularization or drug treatment. The study found no difference in relation to death, heart attack, stroke. Only the covariate result of hospitalization results statistically significant results.
