O atual contexto social de expansão tecnológica e seus impactos na sociedade apontam a necessidade de trazer o estudo das competências socioemocionais intermediado pelas tecnologias de informação e comunicação aplicados a diversos contextos sociais, dentre eles, o educacional sendo o mais relevante. A presente pesquisa tem como temática, a associação entre a Inteligência Emocional, as Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação e a Educação Básica, a partir da criação e desenvolvimento do aplicativo Emocio com o propósito de mapear e qualificar as emoções de adolescentes, no contexto escolar e com isso estimular o desenvolvimento das competências socioemocionais. Foi realizada uma pesquisa de campo, com delineamento pautado na metodologia da pesquisa-ação, sendo o público-alvo estudantes do Ensino Médio. Foi possível identificar que o público estudado apresenta interesse pelo tema emoções, observando-se a necessidade da fala reflexiva e que a abordagem do tema ainda desperta reações de desconforto nas falas obtidas. O levantamento dessas informações permitiu corroborar a importância e a necessidade de pesquisa em competências socioemocionais aliadas à educação e as tecnologias, ainda em estágio incipiente de investigação no Brasil.

The current social context of technological expansion and its impacts on society point to the need to bring the study of socio-emotional skills mediated by information and communication technologies applied to various social contexts, among them, the educational being the most relevant. The present research has as its theme, the association between Emotional Intelligence, Information and Communication Technologies and Basic Education, from the creation and development of the Emocio application with the purpose of mapping and qualifying the emotions of adolescents, in the school context and thereby stimulating the development of socio-emotional skills. A field research was carried out, based on the methodology of action research, with the target audience being high school students. It was possible to identify that the public studied is interested in the topic of emotions, observing the need for reflective speech and that the topic still arouses reactions of discomfort in the speeches obtained. The analysis of this information allowed us to corroborate the importance and the need for research on socio-emotional competences allied to education and technology, still in an incipient stage of investigation in Brazil.
