Investimento social privado

Abstract in English
In Brazil, public and quality education is ensured as a duty of the State. However, the significant increase in the Brazilian Educational System over the years has not been accompanied by an improvement in quality. In this context, the partnerships formed between the municipalities and the Institutes and Foundations that practice private social investment (ISP) are given as a possibility to coordinate actions with the objective of improving public education, which has maintained a prominent position among the themes chosen by members of the Group of Institutes, Foundations and Companies (GIFE) to direct their social investments. In this scenario, the work aims to identify the adhesion of the initiatives of Institutes and Foundations aimed at Brazilian basic education to good administrative-pedagogical practices that improve school performance. The method adopted was a qualitative research, using the techniques of indirect documentation, case study and cross-data synthesis. As a result, it was found that there is adherence between the theoretically proposed variables and the practical initiatives of the Institutes and Foundations and that the implementation process of the initiative that most adhered to good practices went through five axes of action: Network management; Evaluation; Training; School follow-up; Sustainability and Communication.
