Esta tese demonstra, de maneira interdisciplinar e rizomática, movimentos de constituição e dissolução do corpo do indivíduo brasileiro contemporâneo fruto da mistura de povos nativos, africanos e europeus, e seus atravessamentos em busca de pertencimento no mundo. Partindo dos seus momentos de suspensão, investiga quais limites se impõem ao desejo, e, como a arte contemporânea, através do cinema, das artes visuais, da literatura e da performance, atua para ampliar as possibilidades deste processo ao desconstruir velhos arranjos, comunicar diferenças e propor novos olhares e jeitos de criar e transformar linguagens. Ao agenciar uma nova trama de simultaneidades destas culturas entre si e das suas relações com a natureza, com o território, com o tempo e com o mistério, investe em ressignificar o que antes chamamos de História da Arte em sua versão oficial no empenho de redesenhá-la a partir das diversas cosmovisões e das convergências que estruturam o pensar e o sentir deste corpo, expondo não só em palavras, mas também através de uma seleção de obras artísticas, novas perspectivas para libertar o encanto e abrir o espaço para o levante.

This thesis demonstrates, in an interdisciplinary and rhizomatic way, movements of constitution and dissolution of the body of contemporary Brazilian individual, resulting of the mixture of native, African and European peoples, and their crossings in search of belonging in the world. Starting from its moments of suspension, it investigates which limits are imposed on desire, and how contemporary art, through cinema, visual arts, literature and performance, acts to expand the possibilities of this process by deconstructing old arrangements, communicating differences and to propose new perspectives and ways to create and to transform languages. By assembling a new weft of simultaneities between these cultures and their relationships with nature, with the territory, with time and with Mystery, it invests in re-signifying what we previously called History of Art in its official version, in the effort to redraw it from the various cosmovisions and convergences that structure the thinking and feeling of this body, exposing not only in words, but also through a selection of artistic works, new perspectives to release the enchantment and open the space for the uprising.
