Terapia Ocupacional [tendências]

Occupational therapy [trends]
Abstract in English
The clinical encounter takes place in the world and constitutes a tacit knowledge difficult to communicate. Thus, this study's objective was to give voice to a clinical practice of occupational therapy occurring at the interface of the fields of art and occupational therapy, having as reference Donald Winnicott's psychoanalysis - whose work helps us understand the conditions necessary for human development as from the constitution of the experience of being to the appropriation, through a creative gesture, of cultural dimension and social life. The research approached a clinical practice hybridized with the art based on narratives of clinical encounters and of two common elements constituting both fields: the encounter with things and the act of doing. It is a transdisciplinary study which, in order to approach the theme, to deepen understanding and to dialog with other researchers, conducted a bibliographic survey fed by a formative interest, which looked for conceptions able to enhance the understanding of art and of the clinical doing of occupational therapy hybridized with art and able to broaden knowledge of the bordering area between those fields. So, this dissertation intended to study the practice and the interval between the fields and was methodologically based on the principles of Mikhail Bakhtin's dialogism and on the germinative force the narratives set through time, according to Walter Benjamin's thought. The interlocution with the several authors consulted about the two constitutive elements studied, added to the analysis of the clinical narratives, enabled the observation of a relation of complementarity and reciprocity between the fields, i.e., both the fields of knowledge present notions to the other one that guide the way of perceiving, conceiving, and thinking one's self.
