Esta pesquisa se propõe a analisar Instalações Contemporâneas - situadas entre a Instalação, o Pavilhão e a Intervenção -, atreladas a instituições de arte contemporânea latino-americanas e à esfera pública da região, por estarem inseridas em espaços urbanos públicos ou em espaço aberto de instituição pública. São concepções espaciais experimentais e transitórias, que combinam arte, corpo físico e espaço público e têm seu sentido complementado nos cidadãos que delas participam. Constituem práticas estéticas plurais que, para além de objeto e contexto, abarcam interações sociais. Abertas a uma coabitação comunitária temporária, apostam no atrito da arte com a vida e estimulam uma consciência coletiva da realidade. Enquanto obras em processo, partem do embaralhamento de fronteiras - entre as disciplinas; entre os territórios; e entre os níveis de discurso - e permitem que arte e modos de ser da comunidade se apresentem simultaneamente. Objetiva-se compreender como e porque esta produção pode favorecer a aproximação da arte com a sociedade e, assim, acolher a manifestação desta. Neste intento, vale-se de pesquisa bibliográfica, bem como de documentos, registros em arquivo, entrevistas, além de fotografias e registros em vídeo. A pesquisa teórica possibilita a compreensão da condição contemporânea - da sociedade e da arte - e de transformação da cultura; dos novos gêneros de expressão no panorama urbano contemporâneo e, portanto, do objeto de estudo. Também permite o entendimento do embaralhamento das fronteiras e da iminência - como brecha para a aproximação com a sociedade e a reconformação das configurações sensíveis, com potencial emancipador. A parte empírica se apoia em três estudos de caso instrumentais - provenientes de um mapeamento exploratório e expedito preliminar -, situados no Rio de Janeiro e na Cidade do México, os quais são analisados qualitativamente, seguindo as proposições teóricas.

This research aims to analyze Contemporary Installations - located between the Installation, the Pavilion and the Intervention - linked to contemporary Latin American art institutions and the public sphere of the region, as they are inserted in public urban spaces or in an open space of a public institution. They are experimental and transitory spatial conceptions, which combine art, physical body and public space and have their meaning complemented by the citizens who participate in them. They constitute plural aesthetic practices that, in addition to object and context, encompass social interactions. Open to a temporary community cohabitation, they bet on the friction of art with life and encourage a collective awareness of reality. As works in process, they start from the blurring of borders - between disciplines; between territories; and between levels of discourse - and allow art and community ways of being to present themselves simultaneously. The objective is to understand how and why this production can favor the proximity of art with society and, thus, welcome its manifestation. In this intent, it makes use of bibliographical research, as well as documents, archive records, interviews, photographs and video records. Theoretical research makes it possible to understand the contemporary condition - society and art - and the transformation of culture; new genres of expression in the contemporary urban scene and, therefore, the object of study. It also allows for an understanding of the shuffling of borders and imminence - as an opportunity for proximity to society and for the reconfiguration of sensitive configurations, with emancipatory potential. The empirical part is supported by three instrumental case studies - from an exploratory and expeditious preliminary mapping -, located in Rio de Janeiro and Mexico City, which are analyzed qualitatively, following the theoretical propositions.
