Para investigar as vanguardas artísticas modernas e os ecos das rupturas provocadas pela Semana de Arte de 1922, é necessário observá-las em seu contexto histórico. O presente trabalho tem como objetos de estudo a fruição da arte moderna na cidade de Vitória, ES, na década de 1920, e as conexões estabelecidas pelos modernistas capixabas com outros núcleos regionais brasileiros (paulista, carioca e mineiro). A fruição da arte será observada, especialmente, a partir de notícias, imagens e textos publicados na revista Vida Capichaba.

In order to investigate the modern artistic avant-gardes and the echoes of the ruptures provoked by the 1922 Art Week (Semana de Arte Moderna de 1922), it is necessary to observe them in their historical context. The present work has as its objects of study the fruition of modern art in the city of Vitória, ES, in the 1920's, and the connections established by the modernists of Espírito Santo with other Brazilian regional centers (paulista, carioca and mineiro). The enjoyment of art will be observed, especially from news, images and texts published in Vida Capichaba magazine.
