Abstract in English
With an architectural project by Rino Levi and a mosaic by Emiliano Di Cavalcanti, Teatro Cultura Artística (1950) popularized culture in the central region of the city of São Paulo. As a result of a fire in 2008, the building suffered structural loss, but it did not reach its front, which led to its overturning, restoration and reconstruction. Through a Case Study, the text exemplifies theoretical concepts about the preservation of heritage assets in the chronology of the theater, listing memorable factors that support the maintenance of historical assets today and make their extension loyal to future generations.
