Abstract in English
The emergence of a postmodern avant-garde in the 1960s and 1970s questions the modern ideal of the Western world. This questioning also affects the art system and disjointed the roles of its agents (artists, artwork, critics, institutions and the public). In this context, postmodern art manifests itself as an experimental and open avant-garde, based on the indeterminacy of the artistic expression itself. One of its targets is the modern museum, which will later assimilate it. In Brazil, in 1970, the art critic Frederico Morais proposes A nova crítica (The new criticism), an experience of criticism as a creation that develops as an alternative to the exercise of criticism of post-modern art, the proposal is presented by four audiovisual works. These works will be awarded at the II National Salon of Contemporary Art in Belo Horizonte and acquired by the Pampulha Art Museum. This dissertation is part of the cartographic research that starts from the bet on the rhizomatic relationship between art and museum, to investigate with A nova crítica the museal utopia present in itself and in the thought of Frederico Morais, in which the museum is thought of as "pilot plan of future ludic city".
