Abstract in English
This doctoral thesis investigates the attendance of the arts, with an emphasis on theater, as a pedagogical tool for the training of performing artists. The research adopts an intervention-research methodology and is conducted with higher education students in performing arts. The analysis is carried out using the Collective Subject Discourse, a tool that allows for understanding and interpreting the perspectives and experiences of the participants involved in the artistic training process. The study begins with a historical look at the trajectory of theater education in the West, exploring how different cultural contexts and historical moments have shaped theatrical pedagogy over the centuries. This historical review provides a foundation for understanding contemporary pedagogical practices in the field of performing arts and sets the stage for the research carried out with the students. The intervention aims to investigate the effects of attending the arts in the training process of performing artists. Through scheduled meetings and practical activities, students are encouraged to explore and reflect on the pedagogical potentialities of the arts and the role of theater in their training. Based on the results of the intervention and the analysis of the participants' collective discourses, the thesis proposes a pedagogical model that integrates the attendance of the arts as a fundamental tool in the training of performing artists. This proposal has the potential to enrich the educational process, stimulate creativity and artistic sensitivity, as well as promote a deeper understanding of the historical and cultural aspects of theater.
