O presente projeto explora a utilização do crédito rural no Brasil como possível ferramenta de promoção da sustentabilidade e da função socioambiental da propriedade rural no âmbito do agronegócio. Em termos teóricos haverá uma explicação sobre o surgimento da propriedade rural no Brasil, uma explicação sobre a agropecuária brasileira no âmbito do agronegócio, a função socioambiental da propriedade rural e o que vem a ser crédito rural. Do ponto de vista crítico, será analisada a relação entre a provisão de crédito aos produtores rurais e a sua relação com o cumprimento da função socioambiental das propriedades rurais e a preservação do meio ambiente. Descreve, ainda, as principais dificuldades que os produtores enfrentam no acesso ao crédito rural e a oportunidades da utilização do crédito rural como uma ferramenta de sustentabilidade a ser utilizada pelos produtores rurais. A pesquisa será de natureza descritiva e qualitativa, onde foram utilizadas pesquisas bibliográficas e legislativas. Espera-se que, em termos de resultados, seja possível conduzir a um entendimento geral sobre o tema, ou seja, a relação do crédito rural com o cumprimento da função socioambiental da propriedade rural.

This project explores the use of rural credit in Brazil as a possible tool to promote sustainability and the social and environmental function of rural property in the context of agribusiness. In theoretical terms, there will be an explanation of the emergence of rural property in Brazil, an explanation of Brazilian agriculture in the context of agribusiness, the socio-environmental function of rural property and what rural credit is. From a critical point of view, the relationship between the provision of credit to rural producers and its relationship with the fulfillment of the social and environmental function of rural properties and the preservation of the environment will be analyzed. It also describes the main difficulties that producers face in accessing rural credit and opportunities to use rural credit as a sustainability tool to be used by rural producers. The research will be descriptive and qualitative, where bibliographic and legislative research were used. It is expected that, in terms of results, it will be possible to lead to a general understanding of the theme, that is, the relationship of rural credit with the fulfillment of the rural property's socio-environmental function.
