Abstract in English
In this work we have investigated nonlinear refractive index n2, saturation intensity Is, lifetime response τ0, and polarizability difference Δα in saturable Cr+3 doped absorbers employing the time resolved Z-scan technique by nonlinear refraction transient. We have developed a theoretical model, based on the Kirchhoff diffraction integral formalism to study the transient and stationary behavior, and besides, we have observed, from numerical simulations, the time signal evolution of the experimentally observed signal. The theoretical model was extended to transient behavior, where we have used experimental parameters to numerical simulations employing the theoretical model. In the experimental work we have measured the ruby crystal and we calculated the values Is, n2, τ0 and Δα for the five lines from an Ar+ laser employing the Z-scan technique
