Essa tese de doutorado coloca as produções artísticas de Luis Felipe Noé (Argentina), Antonio Berni (Argentina), Antonio Henrique Amaral (Brasil) e de Rubens Gerchman (Brasil) realizadas entre 1960 e 1980 (inclusive) em paralelo com o objetivo de elucidar aspectos formais e questões pertinentes à produção artística latinoamericana do século XX. A abordagem busca ultrapassar os limites disciplinares, por entender que a história da arte deva ser caracterizada pela marca da interdisciplinaridade, uma vez que uma obra de arte tem a capacidade de sintetizar os debates de seu tempo

This thesis establishes the artistic productions of Luis Felipe Noé (Argentina), Antonio Berni (Argentina), Antonio Henrique Amaral (Brasil) e de Rubens Gerchman (Brasil)in a parallel, trying to reach the goal of elucidating formal aspects and issues concerned to the Latin American productions from 20th century. The approach seeks to overcome disciplinary boundaries, understanding that the history of art should be characterized by the brand of interdisciplinarity, since a work of art has the ability to synthesize the debates of his time
