Abstract in English
In this research, the main goal was to understand how science education happens within the Scout Movement. Currently Scouting mobilizes, in Brazil alone, more than 100 thousand people, counting on an educational program where several initiatives were found to develop scientific activities. The merit badges related to science and technology were analyzed from a matrix based on that presented by Engeströn (2001). For personal progression activities, a characterization was held based on thematic axes transversal to the program of the four age ranges, identified during the analysis. At the end, some notes are made about the scenario studied.
