Abstract in English
A research activity, centered upon the drawings of atoms and of electric currents made by pupils attending secondary school, was carried out. In order to discuss such depictions, some aspects of the drawings, such as the form of the nucleus and the electro sphere structure, have been examined. Further, the relationship between the atoms and the manner in which the concept thereof is used to explain the electric current, have also been subjected to an analysis. Definition of the theoretical referential has permitted placing the meaning of these elaborations into a context having two points of support: a rational analysis, meaning the more conscious one, and a poetical analysis, manifested by comprehension, identification and differentiation between an image and imagination. The work employed the epistemological proposition of G. Bachelard, which encompasses the two above-described elements, more specifically by proposing a description of development of the scientific spirit and the theory of the four elements of imagination: water, earth, fire and air.
