Esta dissertação tem como objeto principal a tradutologia de Antoine Berman sob dois aspectos: 1) com foco no estudo de uma tradução, a sistemática da deformação da tradução da prosa; 2) com foco no estudo do respectivo original, a interpretação do "sentido da obra" a partir do conceito de zonas textuais significantes. A sistemática da deformação é parte da analitica da tradução bermaniana (BERMAN, 1985) e neste estudo nos concentramos no seu primeiro sentido, aquele definido no conjunto das treze tendências deformadoras da tradução da prosa. Já o conceito de zona textual significante é uma das etapas da crítica da tradução de Antoine Berman (1995) e consiste nos trechos onde a obra original se condensa, se representa, se significa, se simboliza. O corpus em que a analítica e a crítica da tradução bermanianas serão refletidas parcialmente contém os nove primeiros capítulos da tradução francesa de "Tetto Murato", um dos principais romances de Lalla Romano, importante escritora italiana do século 20 ainda não traduzida em português. Descrevemos em 30 zonas textuais problemáticas desta tradução como a sistemática da deformação se comporta como um verdadeiro sistema com emaranhamentos. E para isso indicamos quais são as tendências deformadoras primárias que dão origem às tendências deformadoras secundárias a partir da proposta de Florence Gaillard (2006) que foi por nós reformulada. O funcionamento da sistemática da deformação é representado por meio de 43 gráficos. Identificamos 29 zonas textuais significantes do original e 23 delas evidenciaram quatro motivos literários que por sua vez revelam em seus entrelaçamentos o modus deste romance. E através da descrição deste modus propomos, segundo a nossa interpretação, uma tradução do "sentido da obra" que já se preanuncia nos nove primeiros capítulos de "Tetto Murato".

The main purpose of this dissertation was to use Antoine Berman's translatology taking two aspects into consideration: 1) the study of a translation, the systematic of the deformation of prose translation; 2) the study of the respective original, the interpretation of the sense of the work from the concept of signifying textual zones. The systematic of deformation is part of Berman's analytic of translation (BERMAN, 1985) and in this study we focused on its first meaning, the one defined in the set of the thirteen deforming tendencies of prose translation. The concept of signifying textual zone, on the other hand, is one of the stages of Antoine Berman's critique of translation (1995) and consists of the excerpts where the original work condenses, represents, signifies, and symbolizes itself. The corpus in which the Bermanian analytic of translation and translation criticism were partially reflected consists of the first nine chapters of the French translation of "Tetto Murato", one of the main novels by Lalla Romano, an important 20th century Italian writer not yet translated into Portuguese. Through the 30 problematic textual zones of this translation, we described how the systematic of deformation acts as a real system with several entanglements. For this, we indicate which are the primary deforming tendencies that originate the secondary deforming tendencies, based on our reformulation of Florence Gaillard's proposal (2006). The functioning of the systematic of deformation is represented through 43 charts. In "Tetto Murato" have been identified twenty-nine signifying textual zones of the original and twenty-three of them highlighted four literary motifs, which in turn reveal the modus of this novel in its interweavings. And through the description of this modus we propose, according to our interpretation, a translation of the sense of the work that already pre-announces itself in the first nine chapters of Lalla Romano's work.
