Na Bíblia Hebraica encontramos uma expressiva quantidade de imagens relacionadas a comida, bebida, banquetes e festa. Equivalente a esta variedade é a diversidade de seus usos e significados ao longo de toda literatura bíblica. Entre estes textos o livro de Ester se destaca pela recorrência dos banquetes em sua narrativa, especialmente no contexto de banquetes da realeza. In the Hebrew Bible we find an expressive amount of images related to food, drink, banquets and parties. Equivalent to this variety is the diversity of their uses and meanings throughout biblical literature. Among these texts, the book of Esther stands out for the recurrence of banquets in its narrative, especially in the context of royal banquets.
